Trunk: A communication channel between telephone exchanges or between a telephone exchange and a telephone.
Switch: A device that routes calls between different parts of a telephone network.
CDR: Call Detail Record, a log containing detailed information about a telephone call, such as its duration, start and end times, and the numbers involved.
Local Loop: The connection between a telephone and the local exchange in a public switched telephone network.
