Time of Day Routing with Time Conditions is a powerful feature in FusionPBX, enabling you to route incoming calls based on the time of day and day of the week. This feature allows businesses to optimize call handling, ensuring calls are answered appropriately during different periods, improving customer service and efficiency.
How It Works
To set up Time of Day Routing, navigate to Applications > Time Conditions within your FusionPBX dashboard. Here, you can create a new time condition with a unique extension that does not already exist. Give it a clear name, such as Business Hours, After Hours, Holiday, or On Call. Then, add conditions such as Day of Week and Time of Day to define when the rule should apply.
Next, set the destination used when the condition matches. This could be an extension, voicemail, or an external number. You can also set an Alternate Destination for calls that do not match the condition. If you have multiple conditions, use the Order feature to specify the evaluation order.
What to Expect
Once set up, incoming calls will be routed according to the defined time conditions. For example, during Business Hours, calls might be routed to the sales department, while After Hours, they might be directed to an after-hours voicemail.

- What if the server/domain timezone is incorrect? Ensure the server's timezone is correctly set to match your location. This will ensure accurate time-based routing.
