- Collect Required Information: Gather the necessary documents and details, including a signed Letter of Authorization (LOA), current carrier name and account number, phone number(s) to port, service address on file with the current carrier, billing telephone number (BTN) if different from the numbers being ported, and the desired port date.
- Submit Port Request: Submit the port request to Flowroute, our trusted partner for number porting.
- Review by Losing Carrier: The losing carrier reviews the port request. Common rejection reasons include address mismatch, unauthorized signer, wrong account number, number already in a pending port, and early termination periods or contract disputes.
- Firm Order Commitment (FOC) Date: Once approved, a Firm Order Commitment (FOC) date is issued. The FOC date typically ranges from 5-10 business days for simple ports and 15-30 business days for complex or project ports.
- Number Transfer: On the FOC date, the number cuts over to Bigfoot Voice.
- Verification and Updates: Verify inbound routing and update your dialplan as needed.
- Confirm Service: Before closing your old account, confirm that the service is working properly with Bigfoot Voice.
